2013 Lexus RX Price & Review
Lexus has revamped its RX crossover and their designers have certainly taken bold strides to make this SUV look unlike other vehicles produced by this luxury car maker.
The 2013 Lexus rx or rx 450 as it is also known is designed to awe and shock curious crossover buyers, and is a pleasant change considering that crossover buyers do seem to want bolder design hues to stand out from the crowd.
Featured below are crucial features of the 2013 Lexus rx that is due to hit US showrooms by July 2012.
2013 Lexus RX Features
Exterior
The 2013 Lexus rx starts out with a bang thanks to the pointed headlamps and a unique spindle grill residing in the newly designed front bumper. The headlamps too feature projector lamps and an elongated triangular design to match the aggressively styled bumper.

Round fog lamps accost the slim air dam located at the lower center of the bumper. The sides of the RX too look quite masculine although the front wheel fender that extends to the front bumper does look quite odd when viewed from certain angles.
The sedan-like rake of the rear windscreen makes the Lexus rx look low and sleek while the horizontally-stretched rear tail lamps complete the stylish and luxurious look with aplomb. Other luxurious features include daytime LED running lights, rear number plate surround, smart roof rails, and of course, the distinctive front spindle-grill among several other design changes.
Interior
The interiors of the 2013 Lexus rx too get a lavish makeover with metallic accents on the glove box, contrast stitching for the seats as well as door trims and center arm-rest as well as a choice of three interior colors with matching inserts and wood trims that can be chosen while booking the RX.

The 2013 Lexus rx is offered with a 3500 cc V6 VVT-i petrol power-plant that delivers 270 HP and peak torque of 248 lb/ft at 4700 rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission ensures seamless power delivery to the front 2 wheels or all 4 wheels depending on the chosen variant.

An RX Sport version might also be on offer with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift feature as well as a sports suspension setup with wider tires. Lexus claims mileage figures of 18/25 mpg in city/highway running for the FWD version and 18/24 mpg for the AWD version under similar running conditions.
2013 Lexus RX Price
Prices of the 2013 Lexus rx start at around $39,000 for the FWD variant and $40,500 for the AWD variant with Lexus charging an additional $875 as delivery, processing and handling fees. These rates are nominally higher than the earlier model that is replaced by the new RX.
Lexus has always been known to produce luxurious cars that pamper its occupants but this arm of Toyota is also serious about making its mark in the crowded crossover arena too.
