2013 Ruf Roadster 911 Price & Review
If owning the Porsche 911 was not enough to flaunt one’s wealth, German car designer RUF Automobile GmbH has decided to stylishly transform the iconic 911 with the 2013 Ruf Roadster 911. The aim seems to be to take the Porsche 911 back to the heady sixties by converting the car into a roadster and the 1967 Porsche Targa has been used for inspiration.

Exteriors
While the front of the Porsche looks much like the production model with oval headlamps flanking a slim grill that seems to shyly smile at viewers, the top is where the action lies with this roadster. Ruf has managed to merge the convenience of a coupe with the fun factor of a convertible by offering a concealed roll-cage in the form of a hard and flat strip located at the center of the car.

The hard-top roof is made of carbon fiber and can easily be removed when happy owners wish to let their hair flutter in the wind. In addition, the flexible rear 3-layered poly-glass window and folding canvas surround can also be folded as well as removed to notch up the fun factor. Blissfully rich owners can now drive the Ruf Roadster with an open or closed roof as well as with an open or closed rear window. Phew!
The rear of the 2013 Ruf Roadster 911 sticks to the original design with an over-sized rear spoiler to keep this roadster on the road as it rides on new 19 inch Ruf-designed forged Aluminum Alloy Wheels. Slim tail lamps and twin-dual exhausts on either side of the rear bumper complete the theme in true Porsche style.
Interiors
The 2013 Ruf Roadster 911 is outfitted in all-beige interiors dripping with opulence. Beige leather adorns the seats, the dashboard, door panels, steering wheel, and even the center arm-rest cum console that holds the transmission lever.

The instrument panel is placed right behind the steering wheel so as to provide hair-raising speed and rpm readings to the excited driver while the center console holds the music system and the navigation system. Silver and chrome inserts provide some relief from the over indulgence of beige used inside the Ruf Roadster 911.
Engine and Transmission
The 2013 Ruf Roadster 911 is available with a mammoth 3800 cc, 6-cylinder flat-6 petrol engine with 400 HP in naturally aspirated form and 560 HP in turbo-charged form.

This massive power-plant is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. However, buyers also have an option of choosing the dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox as well as choosing between 2 and 4 wheel drive. An electric version of this iconic car is also expected to be launched in the near future.
Price of 2013 Ruf Roadster 911
The 2013 Ruf Roadster 911 is already on sale in Europe and the base version with the naturally aspirated petrol engine is priced from 195,000 Euros before Taxes.
Fans of Porsche with additional change to spare might surely love to splurge on the 2013 Ruf Roadster 911 that takes them back down memory lane as they drive happily with the wind blowing around their ears.
