Mahindra XUV 500 Review
Mahindra, one of the largest auto manufacturers in India, would be launching a spanking new SUV, the Mahindra XUV 500, this festive season.
This new car will have 2.2 Litre mHawk diesel engine. This is the same engine used in its SUV Scorpio. The engine delivers a maximum power of 140 bhp and a maximum torque of 290 Nm. The fuel efficiency of the engine is excellent and it performs exceptionally well.
Mahindra has included many new and advanced features in Mahindra XUV 500 such as steering with audio mounted controls, parking sensors, 6 airbags, cruise control etc.
Mahindra has set a benchmark in the SUV market with the Scorpio and is aiming to replicate it with the XUV 500 to create a niche for itself in the higher end SUV market which has players like Ford Endeavor and Toyota Fortuner among others. The Mahindra XUV 500 will be available in two models: 4X2 and 4X4. The 4X2 model will be available between Rs 11-14 lakh whereas the 4X4 model will be in the range of Rs 15-17 lakh.
Fuel Efficiency of Mahindra XUV 500
The actual fuel efficiency of Mahindra XUV 500 will only be known when the vehicle is launched. But using the Scorpio has a benchmark, because it has the same engine, the fuel efficiency of XUV 500 would be the same as that of the Scorpio.
