Piaggio Unveils New Vespa LX 125
From early next year, the new Vespa LX 125 will run on the Indian roads. The new Vespa LX 125 was recently unveiled by the Italian automobile company, Piaggio Vehicles, in India. The scooter is expected to roll out of the new facility of Piaggio at Baramati, near Pune.
Although, Indian motorcycle and scooter enthusiasts will ride on Piaggio’s popular scooter for the first time in 2012, the Italian scooter was launched internationally five years ago. The new Piaggio Vespa LX 125 will flaunt advanced features to ensure a safe and speedy ride on Indian roads.
Piaggio Vespa LX 125 Features
The strong and rigid frame of Vespa LX 125 is made entirely of steel. It has an attractive appearance. The round headlights and the rear mirrors will remind you of the classical Vespa models. The new Vespa scooter is 1770mm long, 740mm wide and 1140mm high. It weighs around 114kg. It offers good ground clearance. The long and wide seat ensures comfortable ride for both the motorcyclist and the pillion rider.
The upcoming Piaggio Vespa LX 125 will run on a powerful 124cc engine. Air cooling and electronic injection system, integrated in the engine, would improve the fuel efficiency and mileage of the scooter. The single cylinder four stroke engine combined with automatic gear will deliver 7.65KW of maximum power at 8250rpm and 9.6Nm of peak torque at 7250rpm. The scooter is expected to deliver around 45km per liter mileage.
The new Vespa scooter will be fitted with alloy wheels. It will have 11-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear wheel. To minimize the risk of skidding, Paiggio will give Vespa LX 125 large 110/70 11-inch tyre for the front wheel, and the rear wheel will be equipped with 120/70 10-inch tyre.
The new Vespa LX 125 boasts of advanced suspension system. To improve stability, the front suspension will comprise of single sided trailing link with hydraulic shock absorber. Hydraulic shock absorber with preload adjuster will be integrated in the rear suspension. The braking system will be controlled by disk brakes at the front and drum brakes at the back.
Vespa LX 125 is expected to arrive in black, pink and yellow colors.
Expected Price of Piaggio Vespa LX 125 in India
The new Vespa LX 125 will probably cost around Rs.55,000.
