Porsche Cayenne

Geneva motor held on 25th February 2010 has seen many curtain raisers. One of them was Porsche Cayenne with new chassis type 958 which will be the model for coming years.

This 5 – seater car is a mid size luxury SUV, which ranks 9 out of 17 SUVs in US according the survey conducted by US news. The perfect blend of looks and performance has made this ranking possible. The SUV is made for city roads as well as for terrain. Its technology is shared by Audi Q7 and Volkswagen Touareg.

The headlight is Bi-Xenon, H7 projector beam which is supported by static and dynamic cornering lights. The rear end of the car has new cluster of tail lights which extends up to the tail gate of rear door. The lights are day time running LEDs. The muscular stance of this car is given by the rear roof spoiler. Both the rear windows and windshields are more slanted.

Inside the cabin it is very much spacious for 5 passengers and has standard seat, but the Cayenne GTS has sports seat. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo has Porsche communication management for navigation which also includes the satellite radio, and audio server. The speakers give the experience of amphitheatre.

Porsche Cayenne basic model has air conditioning with dual zone climate control, telescopic leather wrapped steering wheel with radio controls on it. It has cruise control upper leather hostelry, out side temperature indicator, 12-way front seat with heating and ventilation facility.

The Cayenne S model has Tri-zone climate control and heated steering wheel as addition and the GTS model has remote engine start, keyless entry and exit and rear view camera. The higher end model has navigation system with voice recognition, 4-zone climate control, heated rear seats, premium sound system with 6-dsic CD changer.

The basic Cayenne model has 3.6 liters engine with 6 cylinders which can generate power of 287 HP at 6200 rpm and a torque of 385 Nm at 3000 rpm. The Cayenne S and GTS model is of 4.8 Liter engine displacement with 8 cylinders and a power generation of 400 HP at 6200 rpm and a torque of 500 Nm at 3500 rpm.

Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S has 4.8 liters engine and can produce power of 490 HP and 540 HP respectively at 6000 rpm, and a torque of 700 Nm and 750 Nm at 2250 rpm which is carry forwarded till 4500 rpm, this makes it suitable for Terrain use.

This SUV is a hard to miss due to its possibility to be used in all conditions.
